The Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 240 is a 240mm all-in-one liquid CPU cooler built around an unusually thick 38mm radiator that holds more coolant and dissipates more heat than the 27mm units most AIOs use. Two 120mm P12 Pro high static pressure fans come pre-installed and pre-wired, alongside an integrated 60mm VRM fan that cools the motherboard's voltage regulators. Native offset mounting shifts the cold plate towards the CPU hotspot, and a contact frame is included for Intel LGA1851 and LGA1700.

38mm Radiator for Greater Thermal Capacity

The defining feature of the Liquid Freezer III Pro is its 38mm thick radiator, considerably deeper than the 27mm radiators fitted to most 240mm coolers. That extra depth increases the fin surface area by around 23 per cent and holds a noticeably greater volume of coolant, which slows the rate at which the loop heats up. In practice that means the cooler absorbs sudden temperature spikes far better and keeps a high-end processor stable during long all-core workloads. It does require checking case clearance, since a 38mm radiator plus 25mm fans needs more room than a standard AIO.

Pre-Installed P12 Pro Static Pressure Fans

Two 120mm Arctic P12 Pro fans arrive pre-installed in a push configuration, so there is no fitting or wiring of fans during installation. The P Pro series is built for high static pressure, which is what actually matters on a radiator where air has to be forced through a dense fin stack rather than moved across open space. Hydrodynamic bearings keep them close to silent at low speeds, and PWM control lets the motherboard raise them only when the processor demands it.

Integrated VRM Fan and PWM Pump

A 60mm PWM fan is built into the pump housing to blow across the motherboard's voltage regulators, an area that gets little airflow once a liquid cooler replaces a tower air cooler. That matters on boards with modest VRM heatsinks and during overclocking, where voltage converter temperatures can become the limiting factor. The pump itself is an Arctic in-house PWM design, so it throttles back at idle instead of running flat out constantly, and an improved cold plate with extended fin surface and optimised water channels raises performance without adding noise.

Offset Mounting and Tidy Cabling

Native offset mounting positions the cold plate centre towards the CPU hotspot rather than the geometric middle of the heat spreader, which is particularly effective on AMD's multi-chiplet Ryzen processors. A contact frame is supplied for Intel LGA1851 and LGA1700 to correct the socket bending those sockets are known for and improve contact pressure. Reinforced EPDM tubing with braided sheathing carries the radiator fan cables internally, so only a single cable is visible at the motherboard, and a splitter allows the pump, VRM fan and radiator fans to run synchronised or independently.
