ASUS TUF Gaming VG249QM5F 24" Full HD Gaming Monitor - 1920 x 1080 260Hz OC 0.3ms Fast IPS G-SYNC Compatible - Black - VG249QM5F

The ASUS TUF Gaming VG249QM5F is a 24-inch class Full HD gaming monitor with a Fast IPS panel overclockable to 260Hz and a 0.3ms minimum grey-to-grey response time. It carries both NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible certification and AMD FreeSync Premium, so it runs tear-free on either graphics platform. ELMB SYNC allows motion blur reduction and variable refresh rate to operate at the same time, which most monitors cannot do.

260Hz Fast IPS with 0.3ms Response

An overclockable 260Hz refresh rate puts this firmly in competitive territory, updating the image more than four times as often as a standard 60Hz display. ASUS pairs that with Fast IPS technology delivering a 0.3ms minimum grey-to-grey response, which is the figure that keeps fast motion sharp rather than smeared. Fast IPS matters because it brings response times previously exclusive to TN panels while retaining IPS colour accuracy and wide viewing angles, so you no longer choose between speed and image quality.

ELMB SYNC and Adaptive Sync

ELMB SYNC is the feature worth understanding here. Motion blur reduction normally works by strobing the backlight, and on most monitors that cannot run at the same time as variable refresh rate, forcing a choice between blur reduction and tear-free output. ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync runs both together, eliminating ghosting and tearing simultaneously. Combined with G-SYNC Compatible certification and FreeSync Premium across a 48 to 260Hz range, motion stays clean whatever your frame rate is doing.

Built for Competitive Play

At 23.8 inches viewable with a 1920 x 1080 resolution, the whole playing field sits within easy eye movement, which is why this size and resolution remain the esports standard rather than a compromise. Full HD is also far less demanding on your graphics card, so sustaining frame rates high enough to exploit 260Hz is achievable on mid-range hardware. Colour coverage reaches 99% sRGB, which keeps images accurate for everyday use alongside gaming.

DisplayWidget Center and Gaming AI

DisplayWidget Center lets you adjust monitor settings with a mouse from the desktop rather than fighting an on-screen joystick menu, which is a genuine quality-of-life improvement. TUF Gaming AI adds features such as scene-based optimisation and crosshair overlays. The panel measures 541 x 323 x 58mm and weighs around 2.9kg, making it straightforward to position or wall mount.
