The Cooler Master MasterFrame 400 Mesh Gold is a limited-edition Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX case built around an exposed gold exoskeletal frame with an industrial-grade 3D mesh front. Despite a compact 46-litre volume it takes graphics cards up to 390mm, CPU coolers to 190mm and up to nine fans. A premium 30mm-thick all-metal 140mm rear fan with gold blades comes pre-installed.

Gold Exoskeleton and 3D Mesh

The exoskeleton is the MasterFrame signature: the structural frame sits on the outside of the chassis rather than hidden within it, so the case reads as engineered rather than enclosed. Here it is finished in gold against an industrial-grade 3D mesh front panel, with clean edges, curved corners and a tempered glass side. It is a limited edition, so availability is finite rather than an ongoing line.

Full-Size Hardware in 46 Litres

Compact does not mean compromised here. The case accepts graphics cards up to 390mm, which covers essentially every current flagship card, and CPU coolers to 190mm, enough for full-size dual-tower air coolers. Both ATX and SFX power supplies fit, so you are not forced into the premium of a small form factor unit. Behind the motherboard tray there is 43mm of cable routing space, which is generous for a 46-litre chassis and makes a tidy build genuinely achievable.

Nine Fan Positions and a 30mm Metal Fan

The full mesh front leaves intake unrestricted, and mounting positions extend to nine fans across the front, top, rear and bottom. The pre-installed rear fan is worth noting: a 140mm all-metal unit 30mm thick with gold blades, where most cases ship a 25mm plastic fan. Liquid cooling is supported with up to a 360mm radiator in the top and 120mm at the rear. Dust filters cover the right side and bottom.

FreeForm 2.0 Modularity

FreeForm 2.0 is Cooler Master's modular platform, and in this case it means repositionable brackets and dual-orientation support, so the internal layout adapts to your components and to how you want the build displayed rather than fixing one arrangement. A graphics card holder is included in the box, taking the weight of a heavy card off the PCIe slot. Four expansion slots and support for Mini-ITX and Micro-ATX boards cover the compact build options.

Connectivity and Storage

Front I/O provides two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C alongside a combined microphone and audio jack. Storage is limited by the compact format: one 3.5-inch drive or one 2.5-inch, and only when bottom fans are not fitted, since they share mounting positions. That is the trade-off for the volume, and worth knowing if you plan to run mechanical storage. Cooler Master covers the case with a two-year warranty.
