The Define One is the first new Define chassis from Fractal since 2020, reworking the closed-front, sound-dampened formula specifically for desk-based gaming builds. Sound-dampened front and side panels with aluminium side intake vents balance quiet operation against airflow, and three Momentum fans come pre-installed. This light model uses a tempered glass (clear tint) side panel.

The Define Formula, Rebuilt

Define has been Fractal's quiet, do-everything family for well over a decade, and Define One is the first new entry since 2020. Rather than replacing the existing line, which continues to serve server and storage builds, this is the closed-front formula re-engineered for a gaming PC that sits on a desk. The acoustic dampening that made the name is retained, updated for 2026.

Quiet Without Starving Airflow

Closed-front cases have always traded airflow for silence, and Define One narrows that gap with aluminium side intake vents that let air in without abandoning the solid front look. An integrated front air guide directs incoming air where it is actually needed rather than letting it disperse. Three Momentum fans are fitted as standard, and sound-dampened front and side panels keep fan and drive noise contained.

Hardware Support

Graphics card clearance reaches 368mm, which covers the majority of current cards including most triple-fan designs. Radiator support extends to 360mm at the front and 280mm up top. Tool-less access and removable fan brackets make assembly and later maintenance considerably quicker than working through a fixed panel.

Scandinavian Design

Fractal builds around Scandinavian design principles: curved edges, restrained colours and materials chosen to sit in a room rather than shout at it. The result is a case that looks at home on a desk in a living space, not only in a dedicated gaming room. That approach is the reason Fractal cases hold their appeal years after RGB-heavy alternatives start to look dated.
