The Fractal Design Summit is a premium ATX mid tower and an entirely new series for Fractal, built around multi-layered wood panelling and solid wood feet. Three Momentum 14 fans come pre-installed behind an open, airflow-focused front, with clearance for graphics cards up to 425mm and 360mm radiators front and top. This chalk white model uses a solid side panel.

Furniture-Inspired Construction

Summit is Fractal's first case to use multi-layered oak or walnut panelling with solid wood feet, and it is unusual at this price point. The intent is a chassis that reads as furniture rather than equipment, which matters if the PC lives in a room you also relax in. Reviewers have noted the wood finish is the standout feature on the non-blackout versions specifically.

Airflow and Cooling

The open front is airflow-focused rather than closed and dampened, and three Momentum 14 fans are fitted as standard so the case arrives ready to cool without an additional purchase. Radiator support extends to 360mm at both the front and top, giving real flexibility for liquid cooling. Removable top and front fan brackets mean fans and radiators can be assembled outside the case and dropped in, which is considerably easier than working through a side panel.

Hardware Support

Graphics card clearance reaches 425mm, comfortably accommodating even the largest current flagship cards with room to spare. The case supports reverse-connector motherboards, so BTF and Project Zero style boards with rear-facing connectors fit without modification, which is increasingly relevant as those designs become mainstream. Tool-less access speeds up both the initial build and later maintenance.
