This Month will be a big month for the AWD-IT community but also for those looking to join our community with many upcoming launches for numerous brands but today we will be focusing on the Launch of AMD’s flagship Desktop Processor Line-up of Ryzen 7000 Series processors – Announced August 30th by Dr Lisa Su on stage we saw the new AM5 Platformed outlined in full.
WHAT ARE THE NEW RYZEN 7000 PROCESSORS?
Kicking off the Ryzen 7000 line-Up is the launch of the Ryzen 9 7950X And Ryzen 9 7000 Processors which will be the top choice for the enthusiasts and creators looking for extra Processing Cores and Threads for new high scores and even faster render times.
The blistering fast Ryzen 9 is accompanied by the Ryzen 7700X & Ryzen 5 7600X which we think will be the most popular with our Gaming community with clock speeds up to 5.4ghz on the Ryzen 7 7700X and up to 5.3Ghz on the Ryzen 5 making all your favourite Game titles run seamlessly.

RYZEN 9 7950X / 7900X:

DDR5 SUPPORT:
Thinking of reusing your old DDR4 Memory kit? If your answer was yes, then sadly you are not in luck as RYZEN 7000 will use DDR5 only – DDR5 is the new standard that has been developed to perform past the capabilities of DDR4 making DDR5 the clear choice for AMD’s future Road map.
RECOMMENDED RAM:
If you are looking for high performance memory then AMD EXPO enabled memory will be the go to choice for you, with 1-click easy overclocking allowing you to select a Ryzen optimised memory overclock in a user-friendly way.
PCIE 5.0 SUPPORT:
Ryzen 7000 is the first processor to launch with support for consumer PCI 5.0 support for both GPU and Storage, this means Ryzen 7000 is a future-proof platform to allow you to enjoy the best of the technologies of the future.
AM5 LONGEVITY:
Ryzen 7000 will be compatible with the AM5 Motherboard socket which means the motherboard you purchased with your new Ryzen 7000 processor will have support for new processors up to 2025 according to AMD.
CPU COOLER SUPPORT:
AMD AM5 will have support for cooler designed for the AM4 socket as well as new models launched for AM5 but it is worth checking on the manufacture website before putting your next battle station together to confirm compatibility.
