So what does this mean for me?
Nvidia RTX 40 Series will offer gamers a perfect route to playing all their favourite games in High resolution with high frame rates offering a seamless experience, but these new graphics cards are not just for Gamers.
The RTX 40 Series will allow Creators to make use of the high memory count in the new GeForce RTX 4080 & RTX 4090 allowing them to work and create in the day and play in the night thanks to all the new technology Advancements with NVIDIA's RTX 40 Series.
GeForce RTX 4090 Performance:
The GeForce RTX 4090 offers a single precision performance of 82.6 TFLOPS which is 2.3x more than the RTX 3090 that it replaces – This new Flagship will be equipped with 24GB of GDDR6X memory with a peak bandwidth of 1TB/s. The brand-new flagship model also beats the RTX 3090 TI by 2x in rasterization in Warhammer 40,000 and over 4x times in Ray tracing performance making the new RTX 4090 the new king of high-performance gaming.
GeForce RTX 4080 Performance:
These graphics cards will be very popular with Gamers all over the world, but it is worth noting that the GeForce RTX 4080 16GB and 12GB have some differences when it comes to specs.
The RTX 4080 16GB will have 9,728 CUDA cores with a total of 16GB of GDDR6X Memory where the RTX 4080 12GB will have 7,680 CUDA cores with 12GB of GDDR6X
Both cards will offer gamers a boost in gaming performance with both RTX 4080’s having a significant performance advantage over the RTX 30 Series fan favourite the “RTX 3080 TI”.
Anything else I should know before I upgrade?
There sure is! We would love to tell you about some new technologies that we'll see with the RTX 40 Series.
- Ada Lovelace, The Ultra Efficient Architecture: Ada Lovelace is the latest architecture by Nvidia featuring the third generation of Ray Tracing Cores offering better than ever before Ray Tracing performance in all your favourite Ray-Tracing enabled titles.
- What is this DLSS 3.0 that I've been reading about? DLSS 3.0 is the latest innovation by Nvidia designed to boost frame rates by a combination of DLSS super resolution and AI generated frames to increase games frame rates and increase game clarity depending on the DLSS 3.0 profile selected.
- PCIE 5.0 Power Support (12VHPWR): RTX 40 Series is the first of its kind to have the new standard for GPU power input – These new cables allow you (if you have a supported PSU) to use just one cable to power your new RTX 40 Series Cards. Don’t have one of these new fancy pants Power Supplies then don’t worry you will just need to use the power adapter included with your Graphics card from the manufacturer.
Numbers? What performance are we talking?
NVIDIA's RTX 40 Series is the biggest jump in Ray-Tracing Performance since its first use in the RTX 20 Series and improved upon with RTX 30 Series. These new graphics cards are a leap for the members of our community.
