GIGABYTE G27Q2 27" QHD Gaming Monitor - 2560 x 1440 200Hz 0.5ms SuperSpeed IPS - Black - G27Q2

The GIGABYTE G27Q2 is a 27-inch QHD gaming monitor built around a SuperSpeed IPS panel running at 200Hz, overclockable to 210Hz, with a 0.5ms grey-to-grey response time. Its 2560 x 1440 resolution gives around 109 PPI at this size, which is widely considered the sweet spot for sharpness without the graphics demands of 4K. Wide colour coverage at 95% DCI-P3 and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible certification round out a well-specified mid-range display.

SuperSpeed IPS and 0.5ms Response

SuperSpeed IPS uses a thinner liquid crystal layer and higher control voltage than conventional IPS, which GIGABYTE rates as roughly four times faster in pixel response. That is what allows a 0.5ms grey-to-grey figure on an IPS panel, a technology historically criticised for slower response than TN. The practical result is that you get IPS colour accuracy and 178-degree viewing angles without the motion smearing that used to be the trade-off. Smart OD automatically detects the current refresh rate and adjusts the overdrive level to suit, which avoids the overshoot artefacts that fixed overdrive settings cause at lower frame rates.

QHD at 200Hz

At 27 inches, a 2560 x 1440 resolution works out to roughly 109 pixels per inch, which is close to ideal: text and detail stay sharp with no Windows scaling required, while the graphics load is far lower than driving 4K at the same refresh rate. A 200Hz refresh rate, overclockable to 210Hz across all video inputs including USB Type-C, delivers genuinely fluid motion for competitive play. NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible certification synchronises the refresh rate to your graphics card, eliminating tearing and stutter when frame rates fluctuate.

Wide Colour Gamut and HDR10

Colour coverage reaches 95% DCI-P3 and 128% sRGB with 1.07 billion colours, which is considerably wider than the sRGB-only panels common at this price and makes the monitor genuinely usable for photo and video work alongside gaming. HDR10 support extends the contrast and highlight range in compatible content. The non-glare finish keeps reflections down in a bright room, and 178-degree viewing angles on both axes hold colour steady off-centre.

Gaming Features and Ergonomics

GIGABYTE's gaming feature set includes Aim Stabilizer Sync to reduce motion blur while variable refresh rate is active, Night Vision for lifting detail out of dark areas, and Game Assist for custom crosshairs, timers and picture-in-picture. Four-sided ventilation helps keep panel temperature stable during long sessions at high refresh rates. The monitor is flicker-free and TUV Rheinland certified for eye comfort, with an ergonomic metal stand offering height and tilt adjustment. Connectivity covers two HDMI 2.0 ports, DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC and USB Type-C.
