MSI MAG A1200PLS PCIE5 1200W 80 PLUS Platinum ATX 3.1 PCIe 5.1 Fully Modular Power Supply - Black - MAG A1200PLS PCIE5

The MSI MAG A1200PLS PCIE5 is a 1200W fully modular ATX power supply with PCIe 5.1 support and native 12V-2x6 connectors for the latest graphics cards. 80 PLUS Platinum certification delivers high efficiency, reducing both running costs and waste heat inside the case. MSI's GPU Safeguard and Fan Safeguard protections add an extra layer of security for connected hardware.

ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1

At 1200W this unit has the headroom for a high-end processor paired with a current flagship graphics card, including the transient power spikes modern GPUs produce. Those brief surges can trip protection circuits on older supplies even when average draw sits well within the rating, which is why ATX 3.1 compliance matters more than the wattage figure alone suggests. Native 12V-2x6 connectors plug straight into current-generation cards without adapters, and dual-colour cables make it clear which lead goes where when running two PCIe 5.1 graphics cards.

80 PLUS Platinum Efficiency

80 PLUS Platinum certification means roughly 92 per cent of the power drawn from the wall reaches your components as usable DC output. Less waste means lower running costs and, just as importantly, less heat dumped inside the case for your fans to deal with. Platinum sits a tier above the Gold rating found on most mainstream supplies.

GPU Safeguard and Fan Safeguard

MSI's GPU Safeguard monitors the graphics card power connection and responds to abnormal conditions, addressing the connector overheating issues that have affected high-draw cards. Fan Safeguard keeps the supply's own cooling running briefly after shutdown to clear residual heat rather than letting it soak into the components. Both are practical protections rather than marketing features, particularly on a unit feeding a 500W-plus graphics card.
