The MSI MEG Z890 GODLIKE is the flagship of MSI's Intel Z890 range, built for LGA 1851 Core Ultra Series 2 processors on an E-ATX board with overclocking-grade power delivery. Its Dynamic Dashboard III fits a 3.99-inch full-colour LCD directly onto the board for live hardware monitoring, troubleshooting and custom graphics. Eight M.2 sockets, Wi-Fi 7, 10G LAN and a bundled Thunderbolt 5 expansion card make it the most comprehensively equipped Z890 board available.

Overclocking-Grade Power Delivery

Power delivery is where a flagship board justifies itself, and the GODLIKE uses a Duet Rail Power System with 110A Smart Power Stages fed by dual CPU power connectors. That headroom is aimed at extreme overclocking rather than everyday use, but it also means a stock high-core-count Core Ultra processor never comes close to stressing the VRM during sustained all-core workloads. A 10-layer PCB with two ounces of copper improves both signal integrity and heat spreading. MSI's Memory Boost technology and a dedicated SMT welding process support DDR5 speeds beyond 9200 MT/s when overclocked.

Dynamic Dashboard III 3.99" LCD

The Dynamic Dashboard III is a 3.99-inch full-colour LCD mounted on the EZ Bridge, showing real-time hardware monitoring, POST troubleshooting codes, BIOS update status and a clock, or your own images. Unlike a small debug LED it tells you what is actually wrong when a build refuses to post, which on a board at this level saves genuine time. The EZ Bridge attaches magnetically and connects to the EZ Control Hub by a single flexible cable.

Eight M.2 Sockets and Gen 5 Storage

Storage runs to eight M.2 sockets in total: six built into the board plus two more on the bundled M.2 XPANDER-Z SLIDER GEN5 expansion card, which has its own dual 70mm double ball bearing fans. Lightning Gen 5 support covers both the primary graphics slot and M.2 storage. MSI's EZ M.2 Clip II and EZ Slide designs let drives be fitted and removed without tools, and an EZ PCIe Release button unlocks the graphics card with a single press rather than reaching behind it.

Wi-Fi 7, 10G LAN and Thunderbolt 5

Networking pairs a Marvell 10Gbps LAN port with Intel Killer 5Gbps LAN and full-speed Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7, which uses 320MHz channels for up to 5.8Gbps, around 2.4 times faster than Wi-Fi 6E. A bundled Thunderbolt 5 expansion card adds two ports at up to 80Gbps each with 8K display support and 27W power delivery. Audio Boost 5 HD combines an ALC4082 codec with an ESS DAC and amplifier. The EZ Link system consolidates front panel, fan and ARGB headers into the EZ Bridge and Control Hub for a markedly cleaner build.

E-ATX Form Factor and Cooling

This is an E-ATX board rather than standard ATX, so it is wider than a conventional motherboard and needs a case rated for E-ATX. Check your chassis specification before ordering, as many mid-towers list ATX support only. Frozr thermal design covers the board with an extended heatsink, 7W/mK MOSFET thermal pads, magnetic double-sided M.2 shields, a metal backplate and direct-touch cross heatpipes.
