New HEDT CPU's from AMD to be Announced

According to rumours currently circulating, AMD are due to announce a range of Ryzen HEDT CPUs called Ryzen 9 'Threadripper' processors.

Apparently there will be 9 x different SKUs, boasting configurations from 10C/20T up to 16C/32T and clock speeds as high as 4.1GHz.

Comparisons are already being made between the AMD Ryzen 9 Threadripper and the Intel Core i9 Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X processors recently announced by Intel. And obviously lower prices are expected as part od AMD's strategy.

But perhaps the most exciting aspect of this is that all the Ryzen 9 series CPU's are rumoured to support 44 PCIe lanes.

more news and details concerning both AMD's and Intel's upcoming HEDT CPU ranges will be revealed at Computex, or sooner.
