Thermaltake GR700 Cockpit Racing Simulator Cockpit - Black and Blue - GSC-R70-CPASBL-01

The Thermaltake GR700 Cockpit is a racing simulator cockpit built from steel and aluminium, designed to hold a direct drive wheel base, pedals and seat rigidly under load. Rigidity is what separates a sim rig from a desk clamp: a strong direct drive base generates enough force to flex anything less substantial, which destroys both feel and immersion. Finished in black and blue.

Built for Direct Drive Forces

Direct drive wheel bases apply their torque straight to the wheel with no belts or gears to absorb it, which produces far more detailed force feedback but also far more load on whatever the base is bolted to. A steel and aluminium cockpit resists that flex, so the forces you feel are the ones the simulation intended rather than the frame moving under you. It is the single biggest upgrade most sim racers make after the wheel itself.

Adjustable Driving Position

Cockpit geometry adjusts to suit your height and preferred driving position, covering seat position and the angle and distance of the wheel and pedal mounts. Getting that geometry right matters for both lap times and comfort over a long stint. Mounting patterns follow the standard layouts used by the major wheel and pedal manufacturers.

Assembly and Placement

The cockpit arrives flat-packed and requires assembly, which is normal for rigs of this type and keeps shipping practical. Once built it is substantial, so decide on placement before assembly rather than after. Check the footprint against your available space, as a full cockpit takes considerably more room than a wheel clamped to a desk.
